How to draw shapes for thoughts
This activity will explore the use of shape and colour to describe thoughts.
You will need a large sheet of paper and a pen or pencil.
Labeling Thoughts and Feelings
Write down as many different kinds of thoughts and feelings that you can think of on a large sheet of paper. Try to write at least 12 but the more the better for this activity. If you want some help with this then look here.
Drawing Thoughts and Feelings
For each type of thought you have written, choose a colour and draw a shape around it by making one continuous line around the word.
Try to draw the shape that feels right for each thought.
There is no right or wrong answer to this, many people will disagree about which type of shape is best for different types of thoughts.
Try to imagine that you can see some of the thoughts floating in front of you, with the shapes you have drawn.
